Mini Digger Buckets and Attachments Explained

A mini digger is only as versatile as the attachment on the end of it. Choosing the right one makes the job faster and cleaner.

Common attachments

  • Digging buckets: narrow (300mm) for trenches and footings, wider (600mm+) for bulk dig.
  • Grading/ditching bucket: wide and flat with no teeth — ideal for levelling and finishing.
  • Augers: for fast, clean post holes and footings.
  • Breakers (peckers): for concrete, hard standing and rock.
  • Grabs: for handling rubble, logs and clearance.

Match the attachment and bucket width to the task and you’ll work far more efficiently. We hire mini diggers with a choice of buckets and attachments across Norfolk & Suffolk. Request a quote.
