Mini Digger Daily Safety Checks Before You Start

A two-minute walk-around before you start protects you, the people around you and the machine. Make these daily checks a habit.

Your pre-start checklist

  • Fluids: engine oil, hydraulic oil and coolant levels; look underneath for fresh leaks.
  • Tracks: correct tension, no large stones jammed in, no obvious damage.
  • Greasing: grease the pivot points if due — it keeps the machine smooth and lasting.
  • Bucket & pins: secure, with retaining pins and clips in place.
  • Cab: clean controls, working seatbelt, clear visibility, horn working.
  • Surroundings: re-check for cables, services and people before starting.

All our mini diggers arrive fully serviced and pre-inspected — but a daily check is always good practice. Hiring across Norfolk & Suffolk: request a quote.
